Hi Neil, I apologize for bothering you with this but maybe it'll help others as well. I am using the latest mdadm (3.0) and when I did a grow on a 3 partition RAID5 to 4, the machine shutdown on the UPS signal gracefully during the critical section. However, 3 of the 4 drives no longer have the superblock and they refuse to assemble.

I know you've had the foresight to think of this so I'm really hoping this can be fixed.

Here is the mdadm output on the last remaining spare:

I'll keep checking this page for your input...appreciate it very much

also on running: mdadm --assemble --scan mdadm: Failed to restore critical section for reshape, sorry.
